Powerboat P1 racers enter BladeRun
The buzz around BladeRun is still spreading like wild fire. Since September, BladeRuns’ first hour sign-ups have been treated to an exclusive club night. For this night, BladeRun ambassadors and adventurers were recently overseas and celebrated a London club night in Aura Mayfair. Londoners present were hooked on BladeRun in no-time which led to some very special and new participants for the rally in July. Daniel Cramphorn and Kim Collins – who are successful British Powerboat P1 World Championship racers – already signed up for having some fast but safe fun on the water during the Western Europe rally.
Powerboat P1 World Championship and BladeRun
Kim Collins and Daniel Cramphorn are part of the successful Team 26. Team 26 is one of the most successful teams from the P1 classification, they won 6 races out of 10 last year and almost became World Champion in this spectacular series. Obviously they are in for revenge next season. Kim and Dan got to know each other at previous BladeRuns. Their love for water, glamour, taste of luxury and adventure has led to what they have become, serial racers. They are fanatic Powerboat P1 World Championship racers, a fast growing offshore racing classification that is well-known worldwide.
New BladeRun ambassadors
It will not be a surprise to you that Daniel and Kim are the new ambassadors of BladeRun – Western Europe. Daniel Cramphorn about BladeRun: “BladeRun is an amazing event for people who love water and speed. Our whole P1 race team knows each other from previous BladeRun rallies, from London-Amsterdam and Marbella-Ibiza. Kim and I are really looking forward to racing on the water during Bladerun – Western Europe and we will also be present at the spectacular party’s. The club night in London was a good trigger for the amazing party’s which will be hosted this summer”. Duncan Scholes, owner of BladeRun Global, is convinced that the Western Europe BladeRun version will be a true success.
London Club Night
The already legendary club night was a treat of the organization to the first 20 people who signed up in September. Robbie Taylor, Francesco Pastorelli, previous Di-Rect-singer Tim Akkerman and a (B)ladies delegation were present. BladeRun chose upper-class chic in W1 and that was also the way they partied at the V.I.P room surrounded by socialites, city boys and it-girls. The party was of a high ‘Paris Hilton’ calibre, though in a sophisticated and British version, as well as the hotel. In short: this has been every gentleman’s dream.
